HBO Picks Up New Gangster Series Called The Mopranos
OK - I'm kidding. It's not called The Mopranos - but COME ON HBO! A gangster series starring Steve Buscemi and produced by Terence Winter (yes, Terence from The Sopranos)? Ahhhhh....Who am I kidding? I'm absolutely going to tune in. The cable channel has just announced it has ordered 12 episodes of Martin Scorsese's Boardwalk Empire. Boardwalk Empire, set in the 1920s at the dawn of Prohibition, chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson (Buscemi), who was equal parts politician and gangster in Atlantic City. Shooting begins this fall in Brooklyn. Series to go live in 2010. What do you think? Planning on tuning in?
