'Iron Chef''s Chairman Sizzles at 'DWTS' Rehearsal
"The Insider"'s on the scene for a spicy "Dancing with the Stars" rehearsal between "Iron Chef America" Chairman and host Mark Dacascos and his pro partner Lacey Schwimmer. Will Mark's foot injury prevent their team from reigning supreme? "It's not my fault, first of all," Lacey jokes about Mark's injured foot. "It was not Ms. Schwimmer's fault, no," confirms actor and martial artist Mark. "But, she did ask what I could do. And, well, I did some more difficult martial arts kicks, and then I did something that I thought was relatively simple -- not simple for me I guess, because I did hurt my foot." "I got a little bruise, a little contusion, a little strained ligament on the left foot. But we're back to about 90 percent right now," he continues. "It was pretty gnarly though," Lacey adds. "It was like bruised and swollen. It looked like you had a purple ball on the bottom of your foot. It was gross." So, with Mark on the mend and already accustomed to a career of bright lights and cameras, how does he feel about competing on "Dancing"'s ballroom floor? "It's incredibly nerve-wracking because at ["Iron Chef America"'s] Kitchen Stadium, I get nervous as it is, and I'm not even competing," he confesses. "But the good thing is, [Lacey] is a fantastic teacher, an incredible talent, and [since] I am doing this, I'm so glad it's with Lacey." "I paid him to say that," Lacey replies.
