Robert Pattinson Addresses Romance Rumors (Again)
It sounds like Robert Pattinson tried to end all speculation about his relationship with 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart, but then 'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke just had to chime in "[We're] good friends," Robert told [Vanity Fair], though he had plenty of warm feelings for his co-star. "I think she's the best young actress around. She's influenced how I've done all the 'Twilight' stuff. It's quite nice to have someone who is genuinely indifferent to the whole spectacle of everything." Somehow (I guess you have to read the entire Vanity Fair article to figure it out) Robert managed to equate not being "much of a crowd person" with not being the kind of guy to go on "secret dates with Kristen." "It's like, 'Where? I can't get out of my hotel room!'" he said. Yet Vanity Fair also spoke to 'Twilight' director Catherine, who had this to say about Kristen and Robert's relationship: "What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other. Complex feelings for each other. It was what we needed. Complex, intense fascination." I suspect that will only add fuel to the fire for fans who want Robert and Kristen to get together in real life, just like their characters!
