American Idol's Gina Glocksen Ties The Knot Today

American Idol alum Gina Glocksen from the sixth season decided to welcome the new year in a big way: she's getting married today! Gina is marrying Joe Ruzicka, a schoolteacher. I remember rocker Gina; she always seemed like a genuinely sweet person, despite the "tough" rocker girl look! Fellow season six American Idol contestants Jordin Sparks and Haley Scarnato are bridesmaids. I imagine competing on American Idol is an intense experience that could bond people for life. It's nice to see that some of the contestants become good friends in the process! Joe proposed to Gina in August 2007 before a live audience where the top 10 season six Idol contestants were performing. They met in 2005 when she auditioned to sing for his cover band. Congratulations to the couple! Weddings during the holidays seems to be becoming more and more popular. I guess it's good in the sense that not many people have to get time off, but it's a holiday.
