Just In: Dr. Conrad Murray Pleads 'Not Guilty'

"The Insider" has learned that Dr. Conrad Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges in the death of Michael Jackson. Bail has been set at $75,000. The prosecution reportedly wanted Dr. Murray's bail to be set from $25,000 to $300,000 out of concern that he may be a possible flight risk, although his attorney, Edward Chernoff, argued on the contrary, and said that Dr. Murray is broke because of this case. Murray surrendered his passport and was remanded to custody. He is reportedly planning on posting bond and can travel within the United States. Additionally, the medical board is reportedly trying to revoke Dr. Murray's license on the next court date. The judge told Murray that in California and Texas he cannot use any anesthetic, especially Propofol, but can give local anesthetic and can still prescribe medication. Earlier Monday, Dr. Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter related to the King of Pop's death last June. The court alleges that Dr. Murray "did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson." If convicted, Murray could face a maximum four-year prison term. Dr. Murray's next date is reportedly set for April 5 in downtown Los Angeles due to security concerns. Watch "The Insider" for more on this developing story.[Read full story on The Insider]
