Jennifer Hudson Performs Powerful National Anthem




Jennifer Hudson opens the 2009 Super Bowl singing the national anthem -- her first performance since her family tragedy. "I think [Hudson is] going to feel a love and an embrace from the audience like she's never felt before," Faith Hill told "The Insider" prior to the pre-game show. Hudson's mother, brother and nephew were found murdered late last year and this performance marks one of her first public appearances. Hill sang "America the Beautiful" for the pre-game show and the airline crew from flight 1549 (Miracle on the Hudson River) was also honored prior to the game. The Super Bowl XLII is being held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL with the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers in the game.[Read full story on The Insider]
