Vanessa Hudgens Isn't Part Of New Moon...Yet

Rumors that Vanessa Hudgens was going to join the Twilight cast may have been blown out of proportion. The writer, Melissa Rosenberg, who did the screenplay for Twilight and New Moon says, "I'm not sure about [final] casting but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah [Clearwater, a werewolf]. But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn't happen until the third movie." Are you relieved to hear that Vanessa isn't taking part in the series yet? Or do you think should would have (or will be) a good fit for the part of Leah? As far as the original cast, they're all on board and up in Vancouver getting ready to start shooting.
