Nicolas Cage Sells His German Castle

Actor Nicolas Cage has sold a 28-room castle he purchased in southern Germany in 2006. The property in Germany's Bavaria region -- called Schloss Neidstein -- was sold to Cages's former legal advisor in Germany, Konrad Wilfurth, according to the local Mittelbayerische Zeitung newspaper. The movie star -- who has German roots on his mother's side -- fell in love with the castle and had planned to completely renovate the structure, which is surrounded by more than 400 acres of forest and gardens. While the castle was renovated on the outside, work on the interior had not moved forward, the newspaper said. Cage, currently starring in the action thriller 'Knowing,' still owns another castle, Midford Castle, an 18th century Gothic structure located near Bath, England.
