Catherine Anne Bosworth (born January 2, 1983), better known as Kate Bosworth, is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for her roles in the films Blue Crush, Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!, and her upcoming turn as Lois Lane in Superman Returns.
Biography
Early life
Bosworth was born in Los Angeles, California to Hal Bosworth (an executive for Talbot) and Patricia Potter (a homemaker); she grew up mainly on the East Coast, after leaving San Francisco at the age of 6, spending the rest of her youth in New Canaan, Connecticut and Cohasset, Massachusetts. She was born with heterochromia, which resulted in the iris of her right eye having two different colors: hazel and blue.
While in high school, Bosworth learned to speak Spanish and was a member of the National Honor Society; she played varsity soccer and lacrosse.
